The USO temperature and step-length anomalies which started on 13th March persisted until 2nd April, when they disappeared autonomously ( in line with previous occurrences). The anomaly has reappeared after recovery from switchdown caused by the SM anomaly.

Following the anomaly on 13th March, and the subsequent special activity to switch to Standby Mode on 17th March, the RA-2 is still affected by the USO temperature and step-length anomalies.

RA-2 switch to STBYand back to measurement. (ARB on 16th Feb recommended to switch RA-2 to standby for 1 hour, and leave the instrument in Heater-0 for 15 minutes to gather useful telemetry related to USO/FGCU )

RA-2 Back to Measurement following TM format anomaly


Since the most recent recoveries from Reset/Wait on 1st February, RA-2 science data quality has been degraded. A very slight increase in mean USO temperature has also been observed. Since 9th February, it appears that the situation has improved, but investigations are still ongoing. Please refer to anomaly report AR-958

products IGDR, GDR and SGDR shall be nominally generated.
